Tonight, during the State of the Union, Obama will propose a three-year spending freeze, not affecting defence, VA, homeland security, or State dept., with a start date in 2011. Opinions?
Edited to add: Speaker Nancy Pelosi says that any spending freeze should apply to domestic and defence spending, already retailiating against President Obama's not-yet-given State of the Union address.

Do you see the token african-american and asian in the republican rebuttal. Why is everything so forced with repubicans? My favorite was the reference to twitter and facebook. They're the same old GOP but more technologically savvy.
What I find truly facinating is the GOP's means of becoming more appealing to young voters- not only do they throw in technology, which, to be fair, is a reasonable way of approaching it, but they attempt to copy the language of young people often with disasterous results (see: Michael Steele comparing the GOP to a hat, Michelle Bauchmann saying "You da man, Michael Steele" at RNC)
